The Left-Out Spouse of invasive parent is one of the victims of emotional incest. The invasive parent wages a campaign of isolation to shut their spouse out of their relationship with a chosen child. As such they may turn to workaholism, alcohol, affairs, or other unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with the isolation. The Court System is almost completely unresponsive to notions that a woman wage wars of isolation. The court system is often complicit in emotional incest due to its recklessness creating moral hazards during divorce trials.
