State of the Blog

A place for me to track the state of the blog and milestones reached. Nothing groundbreaking about a metablog for a blog.

New Years 2023

I was finally able to get my excessive daycare post written, edited, reviewed and published. That post was over 10 years in the writing. I dug into the research myself when I was looking for a wife because I wanted what was best for my future children. There was some confusion and I quickly realized there was a gap between educational outcomes and mental health outcomes. With my history with my mom I was definitely focused on mental health outcomes but I was not blind to education outcomes either. I screened lots of potential partners out, and I am sure many screamed me out based on what I was asking for. Turns out I ended up with a narcissistic shape shifter. She seems to delight in damaging both our children’s educational outcomes as well as their mental health.

Hopefully the article will move some women from the “pre-contemplation” phase to “contemplation” regarding daycare decisions.

The Cycle of Self-Improvement

I have been tinkering with the blog. My analytics say it is not fast enough on mobile, so I am looking for mobile friendly themes and plug-ins. I applied to get some google ads a couple of weeks ago and no determination yet. I will just generate more content before I do any campaign to increase traffic. Things have been expensive out there.

State of the blog December 26,2022

I have thrown a lot of content at the board but it seems that I didn’t know about how to properly set a featured photo. My first photo was not defaulting to my featured photo for some reason. I fixed a lot of my regular posts but not my glossary posts. I can work on those later I guess. My first cornerstone post is up. It is on the very sad issue of how parasitic women will destroy a happy marriage due to a happiness gag not in their favor. It is really sad how many of modern women’s behaviors fit so neatly in a psychopathic framework.

I have had 11 people so far swing by the blog. For some reason half of them are from China and half are from the US. No other countries. Weird. Ni Hao friends.

State of the blog December 19th 2022 Finally a post

It has taken me a long time to get to my first post. I feel like my thoughts were not as clear as I wanted them to be but I am not going to let perfect be the enemy of good. I have a theme I think I am going to tinker with and I need to edit some more articles to make new content. Based on this SEO feedback I am getting I need to make Cornerstone Content. I have a lot already I need to edit and deploy, and I still need to sort out a text-to-speech app so I can do the YouTube efficiently. I still need to review services for that.

State of the blog December 18, 2022

I started writing the material for this blog about a year ago. I have about 450 pages in various Microsoft Word documents to put into the blog as various articles. About a month ago I decided I have enough material to start putting online. As I started to learn how to use WordPress I realized I had bitten of quite a bit to chew.

I have the usual SEO tools that comes with a WordPress bundle and when I started I saw a whole bunch of angry faces starting at me. It also turns out I am not very good at writing SEO material. If I want this work to be useful to the most amount of people possible then I have to be SEO savvy and that is one more thing to learn and implement. It also means a lot of my editing needs to be redone which is going to slow down how I can publish my material or write new material. My sentences are too long and I use too much passive voice. Oh Bother.

State of the Blog: needs work

I had to create a glossary and every glossary item needed an image to help the angry face go away. I still have a lot to learn about using the interface and have a host of plug-ins I need to check out, install and customize. Still need to set up adsense, paypall and all the other monetization stuff.

Up Next

As I am going along how I want to roll the articles out is constantly shifting in my head. I want to make sure I have a balance between the positive and the negative but when discussing something as wide spread as maternal abuse and neglect is in the modern era it takes a lot of work. Still don’t have all of the glossary terms for my homepage yet. I have spent longer than I want to admit trying to figure out how to get images to move around the text like they can in Microsoft Word.

Turns out I also need to have a pintrest campaign to help get the word out. I have close to a million characters typed and narrating all of that would be a hassle, but I might be able to get a text to speech service and I can use that to make videos for youtube to increase my productivity.

The next major section I have to prepare is on the harm done by daycare and standard public education. I think I will break those into two posts. I also want to go over the overarching structure of my blog and major concepts that I think about when drafting every post, even if I don’t address each point at length.
